Fruit Smoothies are one of my favorite quick, portable breakfasts. I put mine in a large plastic "sippy" container (the kind that has a hole for a straw), and out the door I go. I can easily sip on a smoothie while driving to work in the morning, or at my desk while I'm working.
I recently received free coupons to try Chiquita™ Frozen Fruit Smoothies (Thanks, Dana!). I headed to the grocery store, and chose a can of Strawberry Banana and one of Peach Mango. The next morning decided to have a Strawberry Banana Smoothie for breakfast. I plopped the fruity concentrate into the blender, along with ice and water, and set my blender to "puree", and within a few minutes, I had a blender full of smoothies. I poured myself a glass, and took a sip. It tasted great - like fresh fruit, and lots of it! I liked it, but I wondered how it would be with some yogurt added (I always use some in my smoothies), so I blended in some plain yogurt. The fruit flavors were still very pronounced, but the smoothie was creamier. Yummy! And off to work I went. The next day I tried the Peach Mango. It was tasty, but I think I like the Strawberry Banana best. Now I can't wait to try the other flavors!
